Vegas is certainly a spot I would love to enjoy virtually especially as the crowds return. It would be great to see the Cirque de Soleil special. The Bellagio fountain show is a favourite so would definitely check that out. I did not know there were so many museums. So a virtual tour is a great way to get an introduction. All fun ways to enjoy Vegas.
Finally I watched the Bellagio Fountain Show! The first time I went there I was pregnant and too tired to walk in the evening. The second time I went there, summer last year, after waiting for almost two hours, we heard that it was broken. I also like watching the Freemont Street. The lights are just incredible.
Whenever we go to Los Angeles we would drive to Vegas for a weekend. We don’t gamble but love to see the nightlife of Vegas and go hiking in the surrounding national parks. Now that we can’t travel, let alone to the USA, we enjoy all the virtual tours from home. And this is a great selection of virtual shows that you’ve put together! We really enjoyed the Neon Museum Virtual Tour!
There is so much to see and do in Las Vegas that you can’t do it all. The virtual bits you have here help fill out the things I missed when I was there. I’m definitely going to watch the Cirque du Soleil video.
I certainly agree – I’ve been 3x now (only once to see the city itself) its a great hub to fly into for when we visit the national parks/state parks in the area, so usually we’ll spend a night there at the end/beginning of the trip to explore the city – still will never be able to see it all haha I hope you enjoyed the cirque du soleil video! 🙂

I’ve really been enjoying all these virtual journeys during lockdown, Some places I’ve always wanted to see look less appealing and others wasn’t originally interested look fun like Las Vegas. I’ve never been that keen to visit but I see posts like this and think, you know it might be a fun long weekend. Don’t knock it till you try it. And anyway I’d love to see cirque du soliel again.
I agree with all that haha I never had any interest in visiting Las Vegas because I don’t like gambling, strip clubs, dance clubs, drinking.. you know. Vegas. haha However, Vegas is *used to be* the most time/money efficient airport to fly into that area from Detroit. So over the years, as I’ve done National/State park trips in Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and SoCal I would fly into Vegas but not really “see it”. It grew on me over time, and I was pleasantly surprised at how much more there is to do than what I had assumed. I wouldn’t spend more than a weekend there though lol

I used to live in LA, so Vegas was a standard weekend trip for us, and I think I OD’d on it! The last time I went was to see the Beatles Cirque show — which was absolutely amazing. Vegas has changed so dramatically over the past 20 years, I hardly recognize it anymore. I think Vegas is a place that you have to do at least once in your lifetime … then cross it off the list.
Oh my goodness, I bet the cirque show was just incredible. I saw a holiday one at the Detroit FOX theatre a few years back, and it’s just mind blowing what they can do with their bodies. I agree- everyone should try to experience it at least once. I was never interested in going because I thought it was just strippers, clubs, and gambling – none of which i’m interested in haha but I’ve been a few times now, and it grew on me 🙂
I love how so many places are creating virtual tours as a way for guests and travelers to engage at the time of stay in place and social distancing. With all your suggestions, this could certainly keep you busy for quite some time. Will save this to delve into from time to time, as I am almost certain I won’t be going anywhere near Las Vegas in the foreseeable future.
hahahah yeah you and me both. Logan and I were there in February as we visited Red Rock Canyon National Park & Fire of Valley state park. It was nice to be so close to the parks and be able to do day trips hiking, then come back to the city for food/a good nights sleep. We usually camp on trips like this.

I haven’t tried virtual tours yet, even though I’ve been confined for several months now… I would absolutely go for the Cirque du Soleil show. I’ve seen them live a couple of times and it was magical… I wonder if these shows are going to even exist in the new world…

This is a great way to tour from the comfort of our own homes. As an introvert, I’ve got to admit that I love this whole ‘virtual tour’ reality that we’re finding ourselves in. It’s not to say I don’t want to visit places in person again someday soon, but the break and being able to do it without carrying luggage and having to worry about where the nearest toilet is, is quite comforting!
I second all of that. I’m also an introvert, so while we’ve been in quarantine since March.. I’m ok with it/enjoying the excuse to not be obligated to do things, like getting together with my entire completely dysfunctional family for mothers day 😉
