The Murfreesboro club gives Middle Tennessee another warehouse option in one of the state’s fastest-growing cities. Rutherford County has added population steadily in recent Census estimates, and Murfreesboro has been a frequent target for national retail expansion.

Grapevine, Texas is already on the map
Sam’s Club opened a new store in Grapevine, Texas, in October 2024, and the company has used that club as a model for newer expansion plans. Walmart executives discussed that location during investor updates tied to store growth and digital features.
The Grapevine club matters because it showed how Sam’s Club wants future stores to work. Company leaders said newer clubs are being designed with more digital tools, including Scan & Go and streamlined pickup capacity.
