The Perfect Weekend in Las Vegas

Located in the state of Nevada in the United States, Las Vegas is the perfect place for a 3-day weekend getaway. This vibrant city offers luxury hotels, gambling, world famous shows, pool parties, fun rides, and so much more. In January 2024 I had the perfect weekend in Las Vegas with my girlfriends for my bachelorette party. We ended up going to a couple shows, eating at famous restaurants, experiencing interactive art, and walking around the strip. This itinerary is so fun, I filled it with all the best things to do in Las Vegas.

Here are some of the highlights and must-see spots we found during our Perfect Weekend in Las Vegas

Best time to visit Las Vegas

Las Vegas experiences high season from March to May and again September to November which is when you’ll experience the best weather. Las Vegas is balmy by day and pleasantly cool at night in the spring and fall. March is probably the busiest month, but April to June and September to November are perfect. Keep in mind that high season means hotel and ticket prices go up.

December is the coldest month overall. Weather during the Las Vegas winter has an average high temperature of 57°F and the chilly evenings dip to an average low of 39°F.

How to get to Las Vegas

Fly into Harry Reid Airport in Las Vegas. From there you can either take an Uber/Lift from the airport to the strip, or you can rent a car if you plan on exploring off the strip (this itinerary will take you off the strip if followed).

Things To Do in Las Vegas

See a Show

During my bachelorette weekend trip in Las Vegas we saw a couple different shows. Experience the awe, unbelievable, incredible shows in Las Vegas – you won’t be dissapointed no matter which one you see – they’re all top notch. Here are some of my favorites:

Absinthe

This raunchy roller coaster full of acts will show you things you’ve never seen & won’t ever forget. A refreshing, irrepressibly raunchy mix of jaw-dropping acrobatics & adults-only comedy.

“O” by Cirque du Soleil – Bellagio

Perhaps one of the greatest shows I’ve ever seen – “O” captures the audiences attention from the beginning, and never lets go. The acrobatics, water display, and phenomenal performances make this a must see show in Las Vegas.

Atomic Salon Show

Go buck wild at the booziest, bawdiest, brawlin’-est watering hole in the West. Saddle up for a wild new twist on the Old West from the creators of Absinthe.

Rouge Las Vegas at The STRAT

“Rouge has no weak moment throughout the entire production, but one of the most unique vignettes is their French Revolution themed piece that includes a very randy Marie Antoinette, a balancing ballet dancer on pointe shoes, fully bedazzled gowns with sky-high powdered wigs to match, and a cheeky, laugh out loud reveal that we won’t spoil to keep you surprised.

This show at the STRAT combines these voyeuristic performers with acrobatics, aerial stunts, contortionists, comedians, and much more.”
