What to Wear on Your Mountain Adventure

Hiking Boots & Shoes
With any mountain adventure – you’re going to want to wear a good pair of shoes. Salomon boots are all-terrain with great grip and waterproof protection. The women’s Salomon X Ultra 360 Mid-Clima boots can take the heat on climbs, descents, or any adventure you set out on.

Tevas hiking sandals are my favorite shoe to bring hiking. They’re water proof, extremely comfortable, and allow me to tred through water, sand, and other difficult terrain. My feet stay cool without socks but if it’s chillier or I’ll be somewhere with more foliage I’ll put on a pair of socks. *HIGHLY RECOMMEND*

The women’s Salomon XA Pro 3D V9 hiking shoes are ready for your most difficult trail adventures. With their cushioned feel, stable support, and rugged grip for tough terrain, they’re ideal for hiking in all conditions.
Hiking Socks
Socks provide miles of comfort and durability— some socks provide a high level of cushioned performance while others are thinner and lighter. Which hiking socks you need could vary depending on weather conditions, activity, and personal comfort.

Hiking Pants

These REI convertible pants are ideal for long days and changing weather. Side zippers switch them into shorts while your shoes stay on. Plus, the breathable UPF 50+ fabric shields you from the sun.

I love Solomon boots, but I’ve discovered a few other handy items within your post, like REI convertible pants – they look so useful for changing weather. I need to get a pair!
some lovely outfits on here.
Thank you. Never been hiking before so this was helpful to read.
Great list! I have great hiking boots and then I never wanna bring them on trips because they take up so much luggage space. I definitely need to get a pair of low profile hiking shoes!
love darn tough socks!
Great advice for those going on a big hike! I appreciate all the details and suggestions!
I LOVE Teva sandals for summer hiking. They’re so handy for river crossings and removes the struggle of sweaty socks haha
YES! They’re the best. Good for sand hiking too, especially since you don’t have to empty your socks after.
Great tips! The socks are more important than anyone gives them credit for! I’ll br adding this brand to my go-to list.
They are really important, there’s so many different types for a reason. Cold weather, hot weather, padded or not- it really depends on what type of hiking you’ll be doing.
Great recommendations! I actually use both of the Salomon shoes you’re recommending. One of my new finds last year were Coalatree’s trailhead adventure pants–I highly recommend these, they’ve become my go-to for all of my hikes.
Salomen shoes/boots are my favorite, they didn’t even need to be broken in. I’ll deff check out the pants – thanks for the recommendation. Have you tried the ShyFly ones? If not, those are also a great pair of pants, especially for long hikes 🙂
This is a great list! I have Salomon hiking boots and love them.
They my favorite type out of all the ones i’ve tried.
